Thanksgiving with the Jenkins

This year Thanksgiving was celebrated at Great Grandmom Jenkins Stake Center in Sunset Utah. We started the day early, we drove to the Salvation Army and got in line and got checked in. After we got all the paper work done I stood in a very long line for the food, we were given 7 meals to deliver. The first Lady I think was the most touching for me, she was in a hospital bed and was obviously very ill her nurse let us in. The kids were very surprise to see her, she had all kind of tubes and IV's she was not able to get out of bed so we stood at her bedroom door and talked and visited for a few minutes. The last lady we visited we actually sang a song to and she started to cry and you know me I cry over hallmark commercials. The spirit was so strong and I am glad my kids were there to see how blessed we are, my sister-inlaw was also there and she has a beautifulvoice and I am glad she shared her talent. Once we were done with the meals we headed to Sunset and had fun playing and visiting with the cousins.

I love your Christmas decorations! You have way more than we do, so I love looking at others' decorations. I agree that it is good to do something charitable. We can't afford much, but we thought it would be a good lesson for Braden to choose a toy and give it to Toys for Tots. I'm hoping to do that this weekend. I love the family pictures!
